Position: Enthusiastic Teacher
Location: Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, Lynn,
MA
Hourly Rate: Up to $45 per hour (12 hours per class)Are you passionate about teaching and making a positive impact in your community? LCEP and New Lynn Coalition are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our team and inspire through exciting classes in our adult education program.
About Us:
LCEP, run by the New Lynn Coalition in partnership with Lynn Public Schools, is committed to providing enriching educational opportunities for adults in the Greater Lynn community. Established in 2015, LCEP leverages the incredible resources available at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute to offer diverse night classes, workshops, and activities covering wellness, skill development, cultural experiences, and civic engagement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and dynamic classes in your area of expertise
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Encourage participation and skill development among students
- Collaborate with fellow educators and program coordinators
- Assist in outreach efforts to promote classes and attract students
Outreach and Advertising:
- Utilize social media platforms, community bulletin boards, and local newspapers to advertise classes
- Attend community events, fairs, and workshops to promote LCEP classes and attract potential students
- Collaborate with local businesses and community centers to display flyers and promote class offerings
- Engage with community organizations and clubs to spread the word about LCEP classes and their benefits

- Flower and Candle Making
- Cake Making
- Paraprofessional Preparation and Testing

Qualifications:
- Experience or background in the relevant field of instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
